14: Altered photo slide

The inspiration;

A window "shade" using old photo slides.

I only have about 20 in my stash, so I'll have to figure out something else when I am done.

Mine;

photo slide
junk mail (for Lady Liberty)
plain old glue stick

12: Crafty Trends

The pin.

This was an entry for a contest, Crafty Trends.

The point was to utilize as many trends as possible on one piece of art.

I decided to dedicate an entire altered book to this.

I went with Steampunk for today's entry.

Or more accurately, Not Steampunk.

Just glue some gears on it and call it Steampunk.

5: Dr Who ATC

The disappearing Tardis.

I was in a swap for Dr. Who themed ATCs and I made an Ood and a Weeping Angel.

I made a couple of Tardis postcards yesterday, but decided to try an ATC.

I use playing cards for mine.

The one I chose though was coated. So it was slick and the marker kept coming off.

What I ended up with was a faint Tardis. Like a disappearing one.

I covered it with packing tape and it will no longer rub off.

I like it.

4: Book Page Necklace

The Pin:

I did mine a little differently.

I used;

my inchie (1") punch
recycled cardboard
book pages on the front and back of the disc I punched
a funky metal piece from something that I had been waiting to use
Mod Podge
ink on the edges of the book pages, in lieu of burning them

2: Wrecked Record Wall Art

For this, I used;

A wrecked vinyl record
A clipping from a book of sheet music
Silver Office Depot Metallic marker, fine point.

Working with wrecked records is not a new thing for me, but not altering them completely is!
