214: Photo Manipulation

I love winter trees and I thought I had caught a glorious sunset behind them. But it was a smidge wobbly as I had omitted the flash and did not use a tripod.

So I inverted the colors, as I just loved the silhouettes of the trees.

213: Photo Group Theme.

And in my goofy, woolly pajamas, I sure am.

212: Merry Birthday to My Nephew.

His is on the 23rd, he loves monsters and since it is so close to Christmas, I made him a Christmas Creature. (Obviously he is 8.)

Santa Claws?

211: Meanwhile, Downstairs...

Just a little boob tube.

But he left his weapon in the kitchen.

210: The More, the Merrier.

The Power Rangers got in on the action as well.

Ah, nice little bedroom.

But who is that? Oh no, King Sphinx!

The Yellow Ranger is considerately awaiting King Sphinx's awakening, but obviously battle-ready.

Of course, once he was discovered by the Noble Team, the Grunt was thrown on the grill.

Chilling on the deck, awaiting their lunch.

208: Toys.

The Munchkin discovered the Grunts fit perfectly in the baby's bed in the Barbie house.

Isn't Barbie going to have a surprise?

207: More Toys.

You know I never grew up, right?

The Noble Team likes to have fun when they aren't fighting the Covenant.

206: Fun with Toys

The Munchkin received a Barbie house from Santa. Plus a cool convertible and Barbie from my aunt.

Santa also brought the entire Noble 6 Team. And a Covenant Army. There has been much mayhem ensuing, even in the Barbie house.

They hijacked the car....

and left Barbie in their wake.

Post-Christmas Fallout

Ha ha.

On display.

He did like these a lot.

We are halfway through the Buffout already.

205: Wine Cork Ornaments

I made ten but two were identical, so I did not photograph the duplicate.

I like how you can see where the wine stained the cork.

The little lady on the end is the one who was duplicated.

No, I did not drink all these.

Not even one. I actually do not like wine.

Glad to have found these at the Recycling Center!

204: Fail.

I wanted to make a Charlie Brown Christmas tree.

I had this little tree.

It already had the little wooden bottom, so I thought it would be perfect.

When I got to the "trunk" it was covered in pokey wires and greenery. So I had some brown felt...

Now it looks like one of those baby trees covered in burlap.

203: Christmas Gift Crafts

I finished the Dr Who Angel for the Spawn.

Don't Blink.

202: Christmas Gift Crafts, Fallout-Inspired

201: White Trash

AKA Christmas Crack

2 cups M&M's
2 cups pretzels
2 cups peanuts
2 cups Chex
2 cups Cheerios
1 pound White Almond Bark/Baker's Chocolate

Mix all the dry ingredients.
Melt chocolate.
Add to dry ingredients, stir to cover the mix. *Do this quickly, the chocolate starts to harden fairly quickly.
Pour the mix onto wax paper to finish hardening.

I hear this can be stored in an airtight container for up to two weeks, but it NEVER lasts that long in this house.

200: Christmas Gift Crafts: Fallout-inspired

Buffout is a drug in Fallout 3 found across the Capital Wasteland. It gives the player HP, while raising Endurance and Strength. The disadvantage to this is that it's fairly addictive and the player can easily suffer from Buffout withdrawal.

The Mister is safe. This particular bottle is filled with Sweet Tarts.

199: Nuka-Cola

The Wasteland's tasty beverage.

The red caps definitely look more authentic.

198: Christmas Gift Crafts: Fallout-inspired

For those of you not familiar with the game, part of your time is spent scavenging. For food and usable items.

Greasy Prospector's Pork and Beans (Made with Smoked Pig Chunks.)

197: Christmas Crafts

I can post these, because the Mister never reads this. At least, not to my knowledge, as I show him pretty much everything I make.

The Mister is a fan of the Fallout games series.

So I am making him some things from the game.

Bottlecaps are a form of money in Fallout. So I started with those.

196: Book Page Collage

195: Third Times the Charm

Not a lot of altering, but it was NOT pretty.

194: Take two.

193: Ugly Christmas Sweater

I always wanted to do one of those events, but nobody I know is ever having one. So this year I made my own anyway.

And voila.

192: Quilling

Quilling is something I always wanted to do, but just never got around to doing it.

When I ended up with over 300 8-Track Tapes, I used the covers as canvases. But that leaves a whole lot of tape.

So, I am attempting to quill with it.

It is probably easier to do with paper. Unlike paper, the tape does not retain the new shape. If I let go, it is gone. Back to it's original state.

And it is slippery. I have been using a skewer, maybe it will work better with a slotted quilling tool. It slips right off the skewer if I am not careful.

But it still looks kind of cool.

This is the best one so far.

191: Book Page Collage

I was looking in Google Images for information on my new-to-me sewing machine.

I found one at ShopGoodwill. An online auction site run by the Goodwill Stores.

While I was there I perused the crafty section.

They had a signed collage by Denise Fiedler.

Never had heard of her before, glad to have come across her work. She sells her collages online through her company, Paste.

I liked her idea. So based upon her style, I created one of my own.

Up close and personal.

See more Of Denise's work HERE.

190: Book Page Christmas Ornament

With a button center. I should make more of these, as I have a gajillion white buttons and about as many book pages for altering.

189: Damned.

Maybe, as I have been scouring the dictionary for all the dirty words.

188: My go-to bad word.

Damn is mine. I confess.

With all the bad words there are, though, I could use worse.

187: Revisited. The computer pieces.

I turned three into rings.

The white background really did make it look better.

186: Altered Dictionary Magnet

I was a smidge disappointed to find that "hellfire" was missing from my dictionary. When I made this one, I had plans for a set.

Oh, well. I have more dictionaries to scour.
